New to waxing....how to not shave for 4th of July weekend?

So I'm going to Hawaii in 2 weeks, and decided to get a Brazilian, leg, and underarm wax so I don't have to worry much about shaving during my vacation. I've been NOT shaving for a week so far, but just found out I'm going boating/swimming in 110 degree weather this weekend with a couple male friends and a couple people I don't know. How do you girls/regular waxers do it?? I can wear boy shorts for the swimsuit, but there's really no practical way in super hot weather I can think of to cover my hairy legs and underarms, so I'm guessing I'll end up shaving everything but the bikini. For all you regular waxers, what do you do when events like this come up before a BIG event? Just give in, shave, and skip waxing?? I know this is trivial, but I'm curious.
